How to set up ICECHAT  (IRC Software)

Icechat is a chat client that allows us to connect our Java chat room and the Icechat
room by means of a network of servers , ports and channels and/or rooms.

1. To download Icechat go to : http://www.icechat.net
    When you get to the Icechat site , you will see a row of topics at the top , that you can
    click on to open each topic. Click on the one that says DOWNLOADS.
    That will take you to another page , which will have a list on the left side to click on.
    Click on the first link which says ICECHAT DOWNLOADS ( For All The Icechat Installs
    and Updates )

2.  When you see a link that says ICECHAT 7.63 FULL INSTALL , that is the link
      you need to install the icechat we use.
      When you click on that link , the download window will open  , which will prompt
      you to either SAVE and or RUN the install.

3. If you choose to SAVE the install to desktop , or if you choose to RUN the install ,
    either one will place an ICECHAT SETUP ICON on your desktop. The icon will look like
    2 blue ice cubes. This is just a setup icon and can be moved to MY DOCUMENTS folder
    after the setup is complete.

4.  To start the install , double click on the setup icon and it will open a window which
     you can choose to RUN the install.
     After the setup is complete you will then see the ICECHAT ICON on your desktop.
     Which will look like a red icon with 2 figures inside the red box.

5.  You will now be ready to open the icechat , double click on the red icechat icon
      and a window will open , which will ask you to click on NEXT to proceed to next screen
      There will be several screens which will ask you to add some information.
      One screen will want you to add the server info. The server we use for our chat room
      is IRC.QUAKENET.ORG
      Another screen will ask you to add the port or at least check the port that is typed in.
      The port we use is 6667 If the correct port number is already added , then proceed to Next
      Another  screen will ask you to add the channel ,  Our CHANNEL or ROOM is
      #doowopcafe

6.   One other screen that you will see is for adding your id/name. Type in the id/name
      you are known by. The name that you might see when that screen is open might be
      GUEST , which you have to change in place of your own id/name.

7.   Now that icechat is open , you will see a set of tools along the top that can be configured
      to YOUR liking. These tools can be configured for changing the Font , Color etc.
      For changing the Font , go to the tool along the top that is a RED ( A )
      In the window that opens , you will find how to change font size and the type font
      you want to use for your own liking.
      There is also a Colour Palette tool for changing the colors you may want.
      Be sure to click the button named SAVE when completely done making changes.

8.   Here is a reminder of the important info you will have to watch for :
