I'm older then I shoud be. I've been involved with music in one respect or another since I was 7 years of age. My parents were both musicians so it was only natural I became one. After years of schooling I turned my back on tradition music and started collecting doowop and rock n roll records.Not what my parents appreciated.

I got hooked on doowops around 56-57.. I've always been interested in who recorded what and when, not just the mainstream hits. I've done DJ work in eastern PA. at local dances and for many years had my own musical group in central Pennsylvania. I've toured with Johnny October, Mark Tanno and the Arcades. Gene Kay of then WAEB am radio in Allentown did many tours during the hey-day of AM powerhouse radio stations. My group/band backed many artists when they'd appear in the central PA. area and I got to meet many recording artists. My group cut one demo on the Julia label and to this day none of us have any idea as to what happened to it. We assume it was never released.

After living in PA. all my life, my wife and I moved to near-by Myrtle Beach,SC..and love it. My collection of nothing but 45 rpm records is 99% doowops .. I only collected or kept what I liked. Give me a listen
